Well if you’ve known me for any amount of time you know I like to go out and eat and drink in Philadelphia almost as much as I like hockey. So I’ve created a new web site, foobooz.com, to track the latest happenings in Philadelphia’s exciting restaurant and bar scene as well as to keep track of cool events and good specials.

A web site devoted soley to hockey fights. Ahh, you have to love the Internet. Currently there’s a big column by P.J. Stock on the front page, and that’s great and all, but what really sold me on the site has to be the fight logs. Every fight in the NHL, and each of them rated for their pugilistic excitement.

NHL Uniforms.com is a great source of jersey information.
And going through the years can really bring back the memories, whether it’s the Flyers long pants or the Canuck V jerseys, there’s something for everyone.
Above is theQuebec Nordiques jerseys the team was going to wear but they instead went to Colorado to become the Avalanche.

What’s missing from the NHL’s site? Any statistics about shootouts. But luckily some guy named Mark is picking up the slack with his very complete shootout statistics. Some surprises in here, Sakic is 0-4 (although he has two posts and a crossbar), Boston is winless, and Niittymaki only has a .438 save percentage in shootouts.
