When the Game takes a Backseat
The Rams extend their condolences to the Leonards family. Carter and Bake lost their sister to cancer Thursday just prior to the Rams faceoff against the Wheat Kings. The Rams didn't fare so well either, losing their rubber match 6-1. The Rams old 11 - counting Kev of course - did their best, but the Wheat Kings posted a 2-0 lead in the first. Bern popped the peanut butter off the shelf to get the Rams to 3-1 in the second. The Rams wouldn't give up without a fight in the third ... well, maybe like two school girls fighting over the last two pieces of Now & Later taffy ... as Goat and Teri did a whole bunch of swing and miss dancing. Congrats to the Wheat Kings and Penguins as they faceoff for the Reinl Cup.
Note this: there has not been a repeat champion in the five years that this league has existed. Oh, and special thanks to the Rams rookies, the only two guys under 30, for their dedication to not showing up.

Carter and Bake, real sorry to hear of your loss. Rookies under 30 - I don't think I can remember back that far. Thanks for letting play a few games with you guys this year.

I want to apologize to all the Rams. I fell asleep and woke up right around the time Bill's fist was reorganizing Terri's facial features. Double frick.

Believe it or not Terry won the fight. That old hack ran out of steam and fell over...
