The 611 Bar at the Al's Nest on Pecks Pond

611_bar.JPG
The 611 Bar at the Al's Nest on Pecks Pond is now open for business. The ice is looking good so we should be in good shape for the weekend of Feburary 15th. Dr. Bumba has graciously offered to coordinate what you can bring if you wish to attend this historic event. See you at the pond.

People can leave their cars at my house to carpool up the NE Extension if they want.

Posted by: Carmen at January 14, 2008 02:35 PM

Why don't we just get 2 kegs and set them out on the ice? Then we don't have to deal with all of the bottles.

One light, one dark.

Carmen, why don't you put in $$ for beer. We were thinking 2 kegs, so if 6 of us put in 25 to 30 dollars we can get two kegs or a keg and a bunch of cases.

Posted by: Dr. Bumba at January 15, 2008 08:17 AM

What time's church on Sunday???????????????

Posted by: bender at January 16, 2008 09:02 PM

What do you think, a keg and cases or 2 kegs?

Posted by: Dr. Bumba at January 16, 2008 09:52 PM

Variety is the spice of life. keg and cases. or kegs and cases. We have a head count?

Posted by: Thor at January 17, 2008 02:26 AM

I would imagine somewhere around 20 people total.

Posted by: Dr. Bumba at January 17, 2008 07:47 AM

I'm with Thor. Kegs and cases.

Posted by: Kierstan at January 17, 2008 09:48 AM

dear lord, save me.

Posted by: bert's cabin outhouse at January 17, 2008 10:50 AM

Towing a light tower heading up on Friday afternoon before the traffic. There is a distributor and a food store about 20 minutes from the house I would say we could road trip if we forget anything. (There are some small establishments along the way I think they have that new stuff called beer!)

Posted by: Snap at January 17, 2008 10:51 AM

There's also a bar 50 feet from the house.

Posted by: Thirsty Goalie at January 17, 2008 11:08 AM

Count me in. 2 kegs is probably the way to go. Any requests for food? Extra sausages for Jenkins to stick up his ass, all-natural granola for the hippie, a warm apple pie for the goat to make love to, did I miss anything?

Posted by: Tyrone Bootzpatrick at January 17, 2008 01:10 PM

Make sure to bring some extra "Booty Passes". This pond game will be played in the New NHL format....we want lots of scoring.

Posted by: Jenks (The Sausage King Of Chicago) at January 17, 2008 01:38 PM

Booty dont forget your porn library, your moms flank steak, and the set of balls that were taken from you a year ago.

Posted by: apple pie burns at January 17, 2008 04:15 PM

I like the 2 keg idea (light & dark). Extra cases are fine as well though.

Posted by: Thirsty Goalie at January 17, 2008 04:34 PM

i like beer

Posted by: kratz at January 17, 2008 06:52 PM

Snap, will we be able to manually move the light up and down the hill or are you bringing an atv to move this thing?

Posted by: bert at January 17, 2008 07:01 PM

AAAAAWWWWWW, Scratch, Scratch!

Posted by: Dr. Bumba at January 17, 2008 07:13 PM

this tourney needs it's own website......do we need teams and brackets next?...i say 2 kegs so we don't need 2 goalies....that way there will be plenty of team defense and a reason to backcheck

Posted by: golin at January 17, 2008 07:31 PM

We tried the light tower thing a few times. It kinda sucks if you're on the far wing. I'll be at the keg.

Posted by: Thirsty Goalie at January 17, 2008 09:30 PM

We sittin here, I supposed to be the franchise player. I mean listen, we talkin bout back checkin, not scorin, not scorin, we talkin bout back checkin. not scorin, not not not scorin, not the goals that i go out there and die for, and play every game like its my last, not the goals. We talkin bout back checkin man. I mean, how silly is that. We talkin bout back checkin. I know I sposed to be there.I know I sposed to lead by example. I know that. And I'm not, I'm not shovin it aside, you know, like it don't mean anything. I know its important. I do. I honestly do. But we talkin bout back checkin man. What are we talkin bout? Back checkin. We talkin bout back checkin man. We talkin bout back checkin. We talkin bout back checkin. We aint talkin bout scorin. We talkin bout back checkin man. When you come to the pond, and you see me play, you see me play don't you, you see me give everything i got right, well we talkin bout back checkin right now. We talkin bout back checkin. Man look, I hear you, its funny to me too, I mean its strange to me too, but we talkin bout back checkin man. We not even talkin bout scorin. The actual goals. When it matters. How the hell can I make my teammates better by backcheckin.
