interesting to see what happens here as that was actually worth 20 games. That is what needs to stop at all costs.

man, yeah. with downie's hit being worth 20, this is easily worth 40. honestly, i don't have a problem with people getting 40 or a full season suspension for something like this. the nhl has to treat every one of these instances as they would if it happened to sidney crosby if they want to be taken seriously. seeing that chris simon got 25 under last year's more lax suspension rules, if this is any less than 25, i think the league is a joke.

The league is a joke because Downie got suspended the same number of games as a guy who threatened to break a competitor's neck and then did so. That's the joke.

if kessler had a weaker jaw it would probably be 50.
with that logic, maybe boulerice could plead temporary insanity and get it reduced to 15.

The second of many long suspensions this year. the other problem I have is that there are so many plays that happen that are a bit dirty etc. Are we seriously looking at a 5+ game suspension for simple charging or roughing? Lots of grey with this suspension policy.

nothing it was clean. lindros had his head down and was chewing gum instead of on a mouthpiece. he was playing he was in juniors and where he was bigger and better than everyone else... got what was coming to him. and yes, this is coming from twinkletoes himself who can't stand punks that take cheap shots...
