Flyers Land Briere
The final key piece of the Flyers' offseason puzzle is in place. In the opening hours of free agency, the Flyers signed Buffalo Sabres center Daniel Briere to an eight-year deal worth $52 million dollars.
The 5-9, 180-pound centerman was one of the biggest prizes on the free agent market and one of three top centers the Flyers had targeted. Briere, 29, an assistant captain with Buffalo, scored 95 points (32 goals, 63 assists) last season.

So the Flyers have picked up three captains in Brier, Timmonen and Smith?!?! Holmgren is a genius.
Todd, your boy Daniel is a Flyer. You must be happy. I know you hate him and we've got him for what, 8 years now?
