Flyers Gagne could miss two weeks with bone bruise
Flyers winger Simon Gagne voiced mixed emotions yesterday on his injured right knee. Although an MRI exam showed that the injury the Canadian star suffered last week at the Olympics was just a bruise, Gagne said he would give the injury as long as it needed to heal.
Modano tones down criticism of USA Hockey
Dallas Stars forward Mike Modano has apologized for the tone of recent criticisms of USA Hockey, saying the "timing was bad."
Jagr injures groin in Czechs' bronze medal win
NHL scoring leader Jaromir Jagr left the second period of the Czech Republic's 3-0 win over Russia on Saturday night with a minor groin injury and didn't return as his nation wrapped up the Olympic bronze medal.
Jagr headed back to the locker room after being injured. He was on the bench in the third but didn't play. He said he doesn't think he'll miss any time when he returns to the New York Rangers.
