The Devils have had forever to prepare for their second-round series. Still, not all of them are ready.
The status of Colin White – the Devils’ top defensive defenseman – remains a question mark. Still resting an injured groin, he couldn’t say for certain yesterday whether he’ll play Game 1 Saturday at Carolina.
New York Rangers defenseman Sandis Ozolinsh, who spent time this season in the NHL’s substance abuse program, was arrested Wednesday on a drunken driving charge, police said.
While the 33-year-old Ozolinsh was sidelined by a knee injury in late December, he voluntarily entered the league’s substance abuse program. The seven-time All-Star was cleared to play on the eve of the Torino Olympics.
