Ducks Survive

Ducking the Sweep

The Edmonton Oilers were hoping to go to the Stanley Cup finals Thursday, but instead they got taken to school.
The Anaheim Mighty Ducks blitzed the Oilers for six goals on 46 shots – including 25 shots in the first period alone – en route to a 6-3 win in Game 4 of the NHL’s Western Conference final.

Ducks stay afloat

The Ducks were only wounded, not dead. On a night when the Edmonton Oilers had a chance to convert a commanding 3-0 series lead into a trip to the Stanley Cup final, Anaheim’s waterfowl struck early and often on the way to a 6-3 win Thursday at Rexall Place.

Ducks Are Still in the Hunt, 6-3

One streak finally ended for the Mighty Ducks. Now they hope another one has begun.
The Ducks gave an emphatic response to anyone who thought the best-of-seven Western Conference finals were over against the Edmonton Oilers, riding an inspired first period to a 6-3 victory that staved off elimination in Game 4 on Thursday night at Rexall Place.
