Bodychecks safer than once thought

More injuries to minor hockey players are caused by unintentional collisions rather than bodychecks, according to a new study.
The study, published Tuesday in the journal of Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, concludes that hitting in minor hockey is safer than previously thought and that it should be introduced at a young age.
