March 7th, 2010The Rams took a one-point lead in the standings over the Blades Saturday night, beating the Blades 6-4. Coming off their 4-goal loss on Thursday, the Rams played angry in the first but couldn’t muster up a goal. The Blades, however, did. And they took a 1-0 lead to the second until Flood, Dean, and Bake scored on two shifts to put the Rams up 3-1. The Rams would hold their lead thanks to goals by Billy, another by Bake, and an empty netter by Bern.

March 2nd, 2010Ray Emery will have season-ending hip surgery to address his latest injury woes. The news leaves the Flyers considering adding goaltending depth or to ride out the season with Michael Leighton and Brian Boucher.
Among the goalies available is Dwayne Roloson of the Islanders who would be a $2.5 million hit to the cap.
